GRAHAM POTTER WANTS £44.6M MIDFIELDER AT CHELSEA AFTER LIVERPOOL OFFER

Chelsea manager Graham Potter wants to sign Liverpool target Ismael Bennacer from AC Milan in the January transfer window, according to CMW. CMW have reported that Chelsea manager Potter has personally targeted Milan defensive midfielder Bennacer. Milan are in talks with the Algeria international defensive midfielder over a new deal and will not sell him for anything less than €40-50 million (£35.69-£44.62 million), according to the report.

Interestingly, Chelsea’s Premier League rivals Liverpool have also been linked with the former Empoli star. MilanNews reported earlier this week that Liverpool have offered Bennacer an annual salary of €4 million (£3.57 million). In our view, AC Milan defensive midfielder Ismael Bennacer would find it hard to make a pick between Liverpool and Chelsea. Both Liverpool and Chelsea are big clubs and global brands who regularly win big trophies and challenge for major honours.   GALLAS SAYS ARSENAL RIGHT TO INITIATE CONTRACT TERMINATION TALKS WITH STAR

According to Fabrizio Romano, Hector Bellerin’s agent met with the Arsenal board on Tuesday morning to discuss a possible contract termination. The right-back has a year left on his deal and is itching to join Real Betis, who are not ready to pay any transfer fees. Hector Bellerin’s career as an Arsenal player has spiralled out of relevance in the last couple of seasons after the player fell out of favour at the club. The right-back requested the Gunners to sanction a loan deal to Real Betis last summer, which they did.

Bellerin played for Betis in the 2021/22 season, helping them win the Copa del Rey. The campaign was successful for all parties concerned, and Arsenal were ready to offload him permanently in this window. The Gunners demanded at least €10 million for the right-back, but things have got complicated. Betis reportedly were willing to pay around €4 million earlier, which was considerably lesser than Arsenal’s demands. The Gunners were unwilling to accept such a paltry offer for a player in his prime, coming onthe back of a good season in Spain. GALLAS: FRANCE SENIOR TEAM CAREER EXAMINED

William Gallas made his debut for the French senior team during the Euro 2004 qualifier with Slovenia in October 2002. He was then part of the France squad that won the 2003 FIFA Confederations Cup by beating the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon in the final. The defender played the whole game as France beat Cameroon 1-0 in the final to win the tournament.

Gallas was also part of the France squad to the Euro 2004 tournament as they were eliminated in the quarterfinals. He played three of the four games before the quarterfinal defeat at the hands of eventual champions Greece. William Gallas scored his first goal for the team during a friendly game with the Ivory Coast in August 2005. Continue reading “GALLAS: FRANCE SENIOR TEAM CAREER EXAMINED”

WHITE HAS PROVEN GALLAS, CARRAGHER WRONG

Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher and Fremchman William Gallas were two of several former Premier League stars who criticised the signing of Ben White at the start of the season, but the Englishman has been able to prove them wrong as part of an impressive Arsenal defence in the quest for a Champions League spot at the end of the season.

A lot of eyebrows were raised after Arsenal spent £50m to sign England international White from Brighton and Hove Albion last summer and his first game in an Arsenal shirt didn’t help matters. He produced an average performance as Arsenal were beaten 2-0 at newcomers Brentford on the opening day of the current Premier League campaign with the goals from Danish midfielder Christian Norgaard and SergiCanos. Speaking after the game, Liverpool legend Carragher questioned his quality via Sky Sports as he was delighted that the Reds didn’t sign him.Liverpool had been constantly linked with a move for White before the Gunners splashed the cash to sign him from Brighton. He had spent just one season in the Premier League before Arsenal made the decision to sign him. Continue reading “WHITE HAS PROVEN GALLAS, CARRAGHER WRONG”

GALLAS INSISTS LUKAKU IS FRUSTRATED AT CHELSEA

A couple of weeks ago, an interview of Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku surfaced on the internet where he ripped into manager Thomas Tuchel, stating that the German tactician was not keeping to his promises and was playing with a system different from what they talked about before he decided to return to Stamford Bridge. Lukaku was signed from Italian Serie A giants and current champions Inter Milan for £97 million as the Blues were facing a lot of problems of their attackers not being enough threats in front of goal and failing to bury clear-cut chances into the back of the net.

Following his arrival in the summer, Lukaku stole the hearts of the club’s fans as he scored on his debut, as well as the next few games. However, for some time now, his form has been off and questioned by a lot of fans and pundits as well. After his interview hit the internet, Tuchel, in his next press conference, mentioned that the striker did not need to mention those words as they were unnecessary and too much noise.

ARTETA PROVING GALLAS WRONG AT ARSENAL

Frenchman William Gallas was a big critic of Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta as he struggled last season. According to him, the appointment of Arteta was a mistake. William Gallas was largely proved right at the end of the season after Arteta failed to guide Arsenal to Europe for the first time in 25 years after his team finished in a disappointing eighth place in his first full season. Arteta and Arsenal had finished eighth in the previous season, but they were able to qualify for European football on that occasion after winning the FA Cup title.

GALLAS: ARSENAL MAJOR HONOURS REVEALED

https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CzzBhm7XEAArkxZ.jpg

Frenchman William Gallas didn’t win any major trophy for the Gunners during his four-year stay at the club. William Gallas is not a name that the Arsenal fans would forget in a hurry for various reasons. His most famous act as an Arsenal player was when he suffered a meltdown at the end of a Premier League encounter with hosts Birmingham City at the St. Andrew’s Stadium.

William Gallas sat down on the pitch after his team conceded a late equaliserfrom Liam Ridgewell as the home team secured a 2-2 draw with ten men. Arsenal had earlier suffered a big injury when Brazilian-born Croatian striker Eduardo da Silva had a broken ankle via a bad tackle from Martin Taylor. Despite the red card issued to Martin Taylor, Arsenal were unable to win the game. Continue reading “GALLAS: ARSENAL MAJOR HONOURS REVEALED”

GALLAS: ARSENAL SHOULD HAVE SIGNED LOCATELLI THIS SUMMER

Arsenal have lost the chance to sign Manuel Locatelli after the player agreed to be transferred to Italian Serie A giants Juventus. The Italy international star was highly sought-after following the brilliant Euros campaign he had with his country at this year’s edition of the UEFA Euros competition. His brilliant performances did not go unnoticed as he started attracting a lot of interest from other clubs, causing his stock to rise and his transfer fee to increase significantly. English Premier League club Arsenal opened talks with Sampdoria, the player’s now-former club, and even though things started looking like they would go smoothly, the negotiations eventually hit a snag.

The Gunners failed to convince both the player (to believe in their project), and Sampdoria (to agree to the amount the offered for the player), and those were the two reasons that led to the deal not being completed. Juventus, out of nowhere, then appeared right in front of the queue and immediately started what was a very smooth series of negotiations with fellow Italian club as they hoped to find an agreement to sign Locatelli.

GALLAS URGES CHELSEA TO GO ALL OUT FOR HAALAND

While Chelsea have continued to express their strong interest in signing Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland this summer, it continues to look like the deal will not go through. The Blues are in dire need of a prolific striker this summer and Haaland is their number one target who they have been looking at to possibly sign for the past couple of months. Not only Chelsea, but a lot of other top clubs across Europe have been chasing the Norwegian striker, including Spanish La Liga giants Barcelona and Real Madrid, as well as Manchester City.

Following the confirmation on Thursday that Jadon Sancho will no longer be a Dortmund player from this summer after the German Bundesliga giants agreed on a deal in principle to sell the winger to English Premier League giants Manchester United, it has grown even more unlikely that Haaland will be leaving the club in the summer, as Dortmund reportedly cannot afford to lose their two best players in the same window.

GALLAS BELIEVES WERNER IS A TOP STRIKER

Germany international striker Timo Werner has not enjoyed the sort of reception he was expecting to get in his first full season at Chelsea and he believes that he deserves more accolades than he is currently getting. Since moving to London from German Bundesliga outfit RB Leipzig last summer, a lot has been expected of him and his inability to meet all of the expectations that have been placed on him has seen him come under huge pressure to perform at Stamford Bridge.

The striker’s form dropped drastically, and he was also low on confidence after a couple of fruitless outings and performances for the Blues. Having made his debut under former manager Frank Lampard, he showed some promising signs in his first few games at Chelsea and the Blues’ fans immediately thought they had gotten themselves the striker that will eventually fire them to the English Premier League title almost instantly. However, he would eventually struggle to keep up with his good form.
